There is little sense in owning a watch whose service costs as much as the watch. The Giudisa runs a movement chosen for exactly that reason — accurate, hacking, hand-winding, and serviceable by any competent watchmaker. Serviced every eighteen months to three years, it will never cost you more than the timepiece itself. That is the whole point.
